Bio

Yizhen Zhang is a documentary photographer whose long-term, immersive projects follow people living at the margins: immigrants, displaced children, and communities the wider world seldom looks at closely. Working across photography, film and the photobook, he stays with his subjects for years. His pictures are marked by patience and intimacy, and by attention to resilience as much as hardship.
